New year, new look

The end of a year is the perfect time to reflect on the past 12 months and set goals for the coming year.

Christmas is often a time to get new clothes - so it makes sense that this would be an excellent time of year to re-evaluate the contents of your wardrobe and ensure you are getting the most out of your outfits.

A good rule of thumb is to take everything out of your closet and then ask yourself: "Have I worn this in the past six months?"

If the answer is a resounding no, the item might be better off as a charity donation or - if it's no longer wearable - in the bin, freeing up valuable wardrobe space for your new and improved outfits.

You might want to start your new corporate capsule wardrobe with a few basic building blocks - crisp white shirts and pressed black or grey trousers can go the distance and never go out of style.

Of course, it can get dull wearing the same items day in and day out, which is where accessories come in.

Custom cufflinks and unique ties can help you put your own stamp on a professional outfit - from your company logo to a unique design or shape that reflects your personality, you'll be sure to make a statement.
