Allan Border Medal to feature some wonderful black-tie fashion

The 2012 Allan Border Medal will take place at the Palladium at Crown in Melbourne on Monday (February 27), recognising the nation's best cricketers over the past 12 months at what has become a highly prestigious annual black-tie function.

Last year Shane Watson scooped the awards after being voted the best Test, One-Day and overall player in Australia.

All of the game's elite stars, administrators and sections of the media are invited to enjoy the festivities, along with members of the public who have purchased tickets.

While the major winner will remain top secret until the votes are read out, one thing you can be certain of is that the room will be filled with some wonderful outfits as guests go all out to impress on the red carpet.

Players' wives and girlfriends will no doubt arrive in an array of fabulous gowns, with the men traditionally opting for custom suits, crisp white shirts and either a black bowtie or tailored tie.

If you have an important function to attend it might be worth investing in some sophisticated tailored attire, so that you are ready to make a great impression the second you walk through the door.
